Evidence labels
- Source-based education: material claims are supported by cited sources and bounded by their limitations.
- Editorial analysis: a disclosed GolfGNG planning or recording method, not a validated performance test.
- Evidence in progress: the question or protocol may be public, but unsupported results are withheld.
- Physical test: used only after the sample, protocol, conditions, measurements and limitations are recorded.
- Approved for sale: used only after the product, evidence, compliance, economics and operating gates pass.
Source and claim discipline
We prefer primary sources for governing rules and research, record access dates, distinguish direct evidence from inference and avoid extending a study beyond its population or task. A citation supports only the claim it actually addresses.
Testing discipline
Future physical comparisons must define the exact sample, method, environment, repeats, exclusions and adverse observations before conclusions are written. No named ranking or recommendation is published from desk research alone.
Updates and corrections
Material changes should receive an updated date and a record of what changed. Readers can use the corrections page to flag an issue.
